EFYE 2017

Birmingham City University are proudly supporting and hosting the European First Year Experience conference 2017 in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

About EFYE

We are a group of academics and support staff from across Europe who are interested in improving the experience of students as they enter higher education. In 2006, our inaugural conference was hosted at Teesside University and since then we have met across the continent. This is a young and exciting conference that partners a similar conference in the USA run by the National Resource Centre for the first year experience around transition. With this supportive environment you can expect to hear of innovation and excellent projects that put students at the centre of the First year learning experience. We hope to see you in Birmingham from 28th - 30th June 2017.

Our Theme

The conference highlights the beneficial impact of Student and Staff Partnerships on the first year experience. Through Learning Gain we seek to focus upon the ‘distance travelled’ by students, educationally and professionally as they transition from school or college into university and through that first year experience.
